Donald Trump's short-time communications director and one-time pal Anthony Scaramucci attacked the president on Twitter Saturday with a chilling warning that Trump will eventually "turn" on the "entire country".

Scaramucci appeared on MSNBC on Thursday to opine that Trump "didn't do well" on his trips to Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas in the wake of the mass shootings in those cities.

The Mooch is no longer in President Trump's corner. He claimed the president's words incite violence against minorities.

In response to Trump's jabs, Scaramucci tweeted that while he has "fully supported" the president for the last three years, "recently he has said things that divide the country in a way that is unacceptable".

"Anthony Scaramucci, who was quickly terminated (11 days) from a position that he was totally incapable of handling, now seems to do nothing but television as the all time expert on 'President Trump,"' Trump tweeted.

"The President continues to do this, and I think what ends up happening is sounded reasonably minded men and women in the Republican Party will say, wait a minute, we can't do this".

"So I didn't pass the 100% litmus test".

"A couple more weeks like this, and "country over party" is going to require the Republicans to replace the top of the ticket in 2020", he added, arguing that if Trump "doesn't reform his behavior, it will not just be me, but many others will be considering helping to find a replacement in 2020".

Yet "he knows very little about me", Trump said.

"Donald Trump is unsafe to the future of America, and will destroy what makes us so unique and so special and the genius that we represent to ourselves and to the rest of the world", O'Rourke said.

The comments to CNN's John Berman come following a weekend in which Scaramucci and Trump traded barbs. "But his increasingly divisive rhetoric - and damage it's doing to fabric of our society - outweighs any short-term economic gain". "It only got attention because most of my fellow Republicans are too scared to stand up to him in public even though in private they're saying the same things as me".
