Modern Warfare has the most DLC of any Call of Duty game

The excitement for the forthcoming release of Modern Warfare has barely kicked in, but we're already hearing rumours about Call of Duty 2020. "But you could have a game that takes place in revolutionary America talk about those exact same concepts". Most of the narrative surrounding the game's marketing has been in reference to the game's graphic violence, which has sparked some controversy. "We don't maybe say those words specifically, but that's the realm that we are in".

Or it could be set in Afghanistan in the 1980s instead, "and you'd have the same story", Minkoff said. But what happens when those allies, who are funded and armed and supported by the superpower, what happens when that support is abandoned or withdrawn?

While steering clear of portraying current politics, the game does want to explore the grey areas in which people operate in, be it good or evil.

The goal of Infinity Ward and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is to give players differing perspectives, to have more understanding of the motivation behind why different groups fight and "and to have empathy for all of them and what puts them in this situation".

In a game about governments and soldiers and war, it's a stretch to claim that there's no political message. The user does have a positive track record when it comes to leaking Call of Duty details, but Infinity Ward seems to have proven them wrong in this case. What I hear when these statements are made isn't "We're apolitical", but "We're toothless cowards". Based on the reaction from Twitter, fans are not happy about the In-Game Content Purchases, despite it being a staple in Call of Duty games for years.

The free Call of Duty Modern Warfare Battle Royale mode will allegedly launch in early 2020.

The rumoured Battle Royale mode won't be the first time a Call of Duty game has had such a feature.

But that doesn't mean there will be any shortage of DLC for this game, in fact, Chief Operating Officer Coddy Johnson claimed Modern Warfare would have the biggest "pipeline" of DLC in the series history.
