OU ranked ahead of Ohio State, LSU, Michigan, Florida, Notre Dame and Texas to round out the top-10.

Ohio State, entering its first season under Ryan Day following Urban Meyer's retirement, is No. 5 in the rankings.

Clemson - who went 15-0 past year and won the National Title - was tabbed as the No. 1 team in the country, with Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma and Ohio State rounding out the rest of the top five, respectively. They must believe in Scott Frost and his squad, who won four of their last six past year.

The Wolverines are ranked No. 7 while the Spartans check in at No. 18 in the poll, which was released Monday afternoon.

UC Davis was two spots behind the Eagles with a fifth-place preseason poll ranking.

The preseason AP poll is out and both Michigan and Michigan State are in the top 25. At No. 23, Iowa State joins OU and Texas.

Montana State rounded out top 25 recognition for the Big Sky, as it was voted 15th with 271 points. The Tide is among four SEC teams ranked in the top ten.

Oklahoma, which is also No. 4 in the preseason Amway Coaches Poll, was the preseason pick to win the Big 12 Conference by the media and boasts five players on the 2019 Preseason All-Big 12 Team. And it looks like they will continue to do so this season.
