Friends will play in movie theaters in honor of its 25th anniversary

Friends fans may not be getting a reunion special for the show's 25th anniversary but they are getting another special surprise!

Great news for the diehard Friends fans who still watch the show on Netflix over and over, 25 years later! See Friends the way it was literally never meant to be seen: On a giant screen in a movie theater!

That's right! To celebrate the beloved sitcom's 25th anniversary, Warner Bros. and Fathom Events are teaming up to release 'Friends 25th: The One with the Anniversary'.

Tickets for Friends 25th: The One With The Anniversary event will be available for purchase starting August 16 via Fathom Events.

The showings will take place across three nights - Monday, Sept. 23, Saturday, Sept. 28 and Wednesday, Oct. 2 - with four remastered episodes playing on each night.

According to Warner Brothers, the episodes will include never-seen-before content and exclusive interviews. "We could not be more excited to deliver these digitally remastered episodes to theaters - for the first time ever! - so that together, in a shared experience, our loyal fans can enjoy some of their favorite Friends scenes in a new way", she added. It is unbelievable to know the series is still bringing people of all ages together. Television group President Lisa Gregorian said in a statement.

Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, Friends debuted on September 22, 1994 and aired for ten seasons.
