There will be a triple camera setup at the back and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top.

Some official looking renders and specs of the Xiaomi Mi A3 leaked a while ago spilling the bean on the design and specs of the device, and now, a more convincing leak is here to add substance to existing leaks.

Xiaomi's upcoming Android One phones, the Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite are going to follow the company's new Mi CC series that was announced last month. The main sensor should be a 48-megapixel shooter while the second and third cameras will offer 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel resolutions respectively.

On some final notes about the back of the phone, Xiaomi appears to have replaced the aluminum construction used in previous years with a premium glass build. Similarly, the Android One logo now sits on the opposite and also sits vertically. The Mi A3 will feature a waterdrop notch on the top portion of the display which will be a 6-inch 2240x1080 AMOLED screen. According to Ishan, the Mi A3 comes with a higher Snapdragon 730 processor but surprisingly, Roland says that it will be running on a lower Snapdragon 665 unit instead.

For now, Xiaomi is busy with its fifth-anniversary sales and the recently launched Redmi K20 series smartphones. Xiaomi's excellent hardware combined with clean Android One software proved to be a winning combination, and now, we have our first look at its successor - the Xiaomi Mi A3. The Mi A3 will run on a 4,000mAh battery and rely on a USB-C port for charging.

It was also rumoured that the Mi CC9 and CC9e would launch globally as Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite. The retail box which is essentially in white confirms the Mi A3 has the same color options as the Mi CC9 - White Lover, Blue Planet and Dark Prince. The Mi A3 and A3 Lite are expected to come with an AMOLED display and an in-display fingerprint scanner. But because so very little is known at the moment, the company's true plans remain largely a mystery.
