New OnePlus 7 Pro Update Brings More Smoothness, Improves Camera

The update will be rolled out in stages so not everyone will receive it at once.

The company says that the new update would improve the photo quality of the 48-megapixel JPG images in the Pro Mode, and the auto-focus is now faster than before. On top of everything we've mentioned, general bug fixes and improvements have been listed as well in this section.

OnePlus 7 Pro has got a new software update - OxygenOS 9.5.9 - that brings improvements in its camera, touch sensibility among others.


OnePlus claims the latest edition of OnePlus 7 has been "specially crafted for India". The software update is basically for the company's flagship smartphone 7 Pro with the availability of the 5G feature.

It also lets you adjust the screen brightness of your OnePlus 7 Pro manually while playing a video. Panorama stitching has improved too.

As per the changelog, the OnePlus 7 Pro update brings optimised haptic feedback for the keyboard, optimised sensitivity of automatic brightness, improved touch sensitivity for greater performance, smoother visual effects, optimised auto-switch of display resolution, optimised the speed and accuracy of Global Positioning System when the screen is turned off, and adjusted haptic feedback of third-party app notifications.


The changelog of the OxygenOS 9.5.9 update also notes that the OnePlus 7 Pro will get better touch sensitivity for better performance, smooth visual effects, optimised haptic feedback for the keyboard, optimised sensitivity of automatic brightness, optimised auto switch of display resolution, optimised speed and accuracy of Global Positioning System when the screen is turned off and adjusted haptic feedback of third-party app notifications. The onboard keyboard's haptic feedback has been fine-tuned along with the haptic feedback of third-party app notifications. There is also a new face Unlock assistive lighting which can be turned on by going to Settings, navigating to Face Unlock, and then toggling on Face Unlock Assistive Lighting. This new option can be found in Settings Sound & vibration Dolby Atmos Earphone Adjustment Earphone Sound Enhancement.

It comes with a Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage.

OnePlus 7 Mirror Blue Edition has been announced in India.
