A few months ago, Apple quietly refreshed the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro with new internals, and an updated third-generation butterfly keyboard.

The teardown also reveals that the MacBook Pro comes with a slightly larger battery than the outgoing model.

The 12-inch Macbook - known just as "the Macbook" - was the smallest and most portable laptop in the Apple line-up.

TL;DR: The stunning, latest model MacBook Air is on sale for up to $200 off, with prices starting at $999 and there are still days to go until the start of Prime Day. But, given the recent upgrade to the Macbook Air, there were questions over how necessary it really was. For a limited time, Amazon is taking $100 off the new Apple MacBook Air (128GB).

In addition, the MacBook Air features a thin and light design, with the security of Touch ID, an 8th-generation dual-core processor, wide stereo sound and all-day battery life.

As for the overall "repairability" score iFixit awarded the new entry-level MacBook Pro, well, it was predictably low: 2/10.

With the aforementioned changes, Apple MacBook Air model is more aligned with the premium model MacBook Pro.

In anticipation of that rush of students looking to buy MacBooks for the year ahead, Apple has updated the 13-inch MacBook Air and the 13-inch MacBook Pro.

While Apple no longer sells a 12-inch MacBook or previous-generation MacBook Air, these notebooks are now available on Amazon and other retail stores until then, until the warehouse stock and then the sleek laptop will be only history.

The promotion includes a pair of qualifying Beats headphones with the purchase of any eligible Mac or iPad for college, as well as education discounts on qualifying Mac, iPad, AppleCare, select accessories and services.
