OnePlus 7 Pro update promises big camera and touchscreen improvements

OnePlus 7 Pro camera improvements have already been delivered by the OxygenOS 9.5.4/4 update less than two weeks ago, and now the company is ready to push out some more, with OxygenOS 9.5.7. Additionally, it also brings a host of improvements to the camera.

At the time of launch, OnePlus had promised to release a camera update that was also provided to DxOMark for their lab tests.


The OnePlus 7 Pro launched last month amid much fanfare. A look at the changelog reveals that the update optimizes the double tap to wake feature, and also fixes issues with the Ambient Display. While the flagship smartphone has received rave reviews, its cameras have left users far from satisfied.

OnePlus 7 Pro, the company's most powerful and costliest smartphone till date got mixed reactions from critics on the camera performance. And to improve that, OnePlus has been rather quick to roll out an update. The changelog includes: -Improved overall contrast and colour performance. -Improved clarity and noise reduction in low light scene of ultra wide. This update also fixes an issue of greenish tone in some low light scenes, and reduces noise in some HDR scenes. Customers can also avail cash back offers upto Rs 2,000 with SBI credit and debit cards at Amazon.in, Reliance and Croma. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset.


This phone is armed with triple rear cameras comprising of 48MP with Dual LED Flash, 7P lens, f/1.6 aperture, 1/2.25inch Sony IMX586 sensor with features of OIS, EIS, secondary 8MP Telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture with features of OIS, 3x zoom and third camera of 16MP with f/2.2 aperture and 117 degree field of view.

Buyers can pre-book the OnePlus 7 Pro Almond from June 7th at INR 2000 in all OnePlus exclusive offline stores, Reliance Digital, My Jio Store, Croma, Poorvika Mobiles, Sangeetha Mobiles and Vijay Sales. For selfie enthusiasts, the device has a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
