Ubisoft's latest game goes back to classical mythology with 'Gods & Monsters, ' which the publisher showcased with a cartoony first trailer at E3. Flashy battle sequences with epic creatures such as Minotaurs, Gorgons, and Cyclops are promised, along with a heavy emphasis on freeform aerial combat.

Story Creator Mode is based on the story-designer tools and branching dialogue systems used in Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

From the creators of Assassin's Creed® Odyssey comes a storybook adventure about a forgotten hero on a quest to save the Greek gods.

Gods and Monsters has a release date of 25th February 2020 - pretty soon in the grand scheme of things, for something being so coyly teased. The game makes use of a attractive painted art style, and will allow players to traverse through the open world both on the ground, and in the air, with the use of a gliding mechanic.

In development from the team behind Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, it looks very much like a cross between that game and the last big Zelda adventure, tied together by the thread of classical Greek myths. It was this train of thought that inspired the team to dive deep into Greek Mythology in Gods and Monsters. You are named Phoenix, and your task is to help the Olympians save the Island of the Blessed.

Interact with History: Players will have access to a range of historical and fictional characters from the main game to retell historical events from the main game or create their own.
