Asus ZenFone 6 To Launch In India With Asus 6Z Name

Asus is all set to launch its Next flagship smartphone Asus Zenfone 6 in India. According to the Delhi High Court's ruling, Asus can not sell or advertise, directly or indirectly, any products like mobile phones or phone accessories with the ZenFone or Zen branding starting July 23. The microsite also lists the launch date as June 19, which means Asus is less than two weeks away from launching the phone in the Indian market.

Under the hood, the Asus 6Z gets powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor along with Adreno 640 GPU.

After the recent trademark related issue, we have been thinking about will happen to ASUS Zenfone 6 launch in India. In India, the phone is expected to be available for purchase exclusively via Flipkart.

The Justice Manmohan order came on a plea filed by Telecare Network seeking to restrain ASUS from directly or indirectly selling, offering and advertising for sale mobile phones, accessories or any other related products or any other goods under the trademark ZEN, ZENFONE or identical trademarks.

The updated ZenFone 6 microsite on Flipkart now reads 'Asus 6z', marking a change from the "ZenFone 6" banner accompanying an image of the flagship phone at the top of the page.

It comes with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB of storage and alternatively with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage which can be extended up to 1TB with microSD card. The Smartphone is sponsored up by a huge 5,000mAh battery with help for Quick Charge 4.0 and it keeps running on Android 9.0 Pie, which dependent on ZenUI 6.
