The two-time MVP hinted at his role in late April via Twitter, giving fans fair warning to pay attention for episode five of the show's eighth and final season.

Green Bay Packers' quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, has made the most recent cameo in Game of Thrones with a short clip towards the end of episode 5, which he ultimately does not survive.

Based on what happened throughout the episode, it seems fairly likely that Rodgers' character is no longer alive. In the screenshot below, you can see Rodgers as the third archer from the right.

Speaking in a behind-the-scenes video feature, showrunner D.B. Weiss said Rodgers appears as a background actor in the assault on King's Landing. Showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff appeared in Episode 4 during the dinner scene.

The Packers quarterback, who previously joked about it at the Kentucky Derby, revealed Sunday night that he was on set as an extra for the filming of "The Bells", the fifth episode of Season 8.

The Game of Thrones cameos usually come out about when the creators and celebrity fans are mutual fans of each other.

Just one episode remains in "Game of Thrones", HBO's wildly popular fantasy drama.
