In an interview with Gary Neville for Sky Sports, the former United and France full-back said: "It's not like I am protecting Paul but when there are incidents like yesterday with the fan, they are killing Paul".

Despite being their top-scorer this season with 16 goals in all competitions, much of the blame for United's poor campaign has fallen on Pogba's shoulders and the Frenchman reacted to seemingly being heckled by a small number of supporters during the club's lap of honour at Old Trafford.

The Chilean further receives £75,000 for every goal he scores and £25,000 for every assist that leads to a goal.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now faced with an uphill task of getting the players together as the rifts continue off the pitch.

Evra expects there to be a big summer clear-out, with World Cup victor Pogba likely to head the list of high-profile departures.

"I think (Pogba) will leave, because you need to feel the love when you play somewhere, you need to be committed".

Tension has reportedly rocked Old Trafford after Manchester United players clashing over the club's bonus scheme that favours Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba.

"If Paul decides to stay another year and then leave, or stay another few years, maybe the fans will love him because he is committed".

Manchester United bought Alexis Sanchez as a part of a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Arsenal last January, and it is safe to say that it didn't quite work out.

"Some players only come for the money, I am not afraid to say that".

Sanchez has been linked with a move away from Manchester United with Juventus a rumoured destination.

Paul Pogba and Sanchez are now the two highest earning players at Man United and they receive a bonus every time they score a goal.

The Argentine national team player signed for Manchester United shortly after winning the 2014 Champions League title with Real Madrid and also reaching the World Cup final with his country.
