According to reports, Phoenix Suns forward Josh Jackson was arrested in Miami Gardens, Florida and charged with resisting arrest and escape.

Jackson was at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami over the weekend, and according to a report from the Arizona Republic, he tried to sneak into the VIP section multiple times without the proper pass.

After cops handcuffed him, he ran away.

Jackson is now facing a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest and a felony for escape.

The 22-year-old Jackson was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the fourth pick in the 2017 National Basketball Association draft.

A foot pursuit began and eventually backup officers caught up to Jackson and took him into custody.

The officer chased Jackson and lost sight of him "along the fence line" of the stadium.

Jackson has a hearing on June 10.

Considered a potential No. 1 overall pick while playing at Kansas, Jackson found trouble during his lone season in college. This past year, during his second season in the NBA, Jackson averaged 11.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists while playing 25.2 minutes per game for Phoenix.

On the court, Jackson has shot just 42% in his career with the Suns.

During his lone season at Kansas, he was charged with one count of criminal damage to property, less than $1,000 after he allegedly kicked the auto of a woman basketball player, who claimed he threatened to "beat her ass".
