The EFL punished Leeds in February after a member of United's staff was seen outside Derby's training ground.

Leeds beat Derby 1-0 in the first leg, and took the lead thanks to Stuart Dallas' goal midway through the first half Wednesday.

"'Cause all of the spies, are hidden away, just try not to worry, you'll beat us some day".

The Rams' spectacular victory makes them the first team to lose the first leg of a play-off semi-final at home and go on to proceed to the final.

But Derby started well and, though stunned by a Leeds goal against the run of play, recovered to win a thrilling game 4-2 on the night and progress 4-3 on aggregate.

In a one-worded tweet captioned, "Mood", the tweet showed a video of one of the Derby press team screen recording from their iPhone.

Of course, Frank Lampard and Derby weren't happy, and they would have been even angrier when they were beaten 2-0 at Elland Road a couple of days later.

Then, in their league match against Villa in April, Leeds allowed their opponents to walk in an equaliser unopposed after the home side scored while a Villa player was down injured.

Derby's Duane Holmes also shared a video on Twitter - which was shared by the verified club account - of Lampard and his players leading a rendition of Leeds' chant.

Leeds meanwhile must prepare for another season of Championship football. "I'm not gonna lie maybe it is", he told Sky Sports, per the Mirror.

"Because I've heard a lot of people saying that we're crying about Spygate".

That gave Derby a 4-3 aggregate victory, and the Rams will face Aston Villa in the play-off final on May 27, with the victor earning promotion to the Premier League.

Before the two-legged tie with Derby, he had said he would not speculate on his future: "I would never say that if we stayed in the Championship I won't stay here, otherwise you say the importance of this club is linked to the division in which it plays".

"The work rate through the year, players coming in, we're not there yet, I watched Villa do this [celebrate reaching the final], but the players deserve it".
