On the same day that Julianna Zobrist filed for divorce, Ben Zobrist filed for legal separation in Williamson, Tennessee, where the couple owns a house, according to the Tennessean.

After 14 years of marriage and 3 kids with Major League Baseball star Ben Zobrist, Julianna Zobrist has filed for divorce.

Coinciding with that filing, Zobrist's wife, Julianna, filed for divorce Monday in Cook County circuit court, according to court records, citing "irreconcilable differences".

The Cubs placed Ben Zobrist on leave for undisclosed personal reasons on May 8, prompting the team to recall Addison Russell from Triple-A Iowa a little earlier than planned.

The divorce filing is public record.

Julianna Zobrist, a professional singer who has sung the national anthem at Cubs games and sang "God Bless America" before a 2016 World Series game at Wrigley Field, deleted her Twitter account in recent weeks.

When asked by reporters when he expected Zobrist to return, Maddon said he had "no indication".

The Cubs' Ben Zobrist and his wife, Julianna Zobrist, have filed court documents in separate states seeking to end their marriage. He was with Kansas City when it won the World Series in 2015 and then joined the Cubs in time for their World Series win.

CubsHQ would like to wish Ben, his wife Julianna, and their three children the best as they deal with this very stressful time in their lives.

The former World Series MVP was hitting.241 with 10 RBIs through 26 games before to taking his absence from the team.
