Best Game of Thrones Memes of the Week: Battle of Winterfell

It's a criticism that Game of Thrones cinematographer, Fabian Wagner, isn't taking lying down.

And with the final episode being 80 minutes long, it's safe to say there is a lot more to come.

Game of Thrones fans have some very differing opinions about "The Long Night".

That said, Tyrion was one of the few characters to bond with Daenerys' dragons, which is definitely enough to speculate that he has Targaryen blood.

As is tradition on Wednesdays, HBO has released new photos from the next episode, season 8 episode 4. He also single-handedly saved King's Landing in the Battle of Blackwater Bay, though he was never properly recognized for it.

Unsurprisingly, Arya Stark inspired the most reactions among Twitter users, followed by the Night King, then Bran Stark or the Three-Eyed Raven, and Jon Snow. I spent all my energy playing it, and she as well.

There are only six episodes of the final season, but they are longer than normal.

The new trailer hints at yet another battle to come, this time between Daenerys and Jon's forces and Cersei's.

In fact, she lost all of her Dothraki fighters, who led the charge against the White Walkers. As luck would have it, though, we have a guide on optimising your TV for Game of Thrones season 8, episode 3, so you'll be able to relive it as intended.

The third image takes fans back to King's Landing, with a rather pleased Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) looking out a window, with Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek) behind her.

She added that they will now win, 'the last war, ' against Cersei, to take the Iron Throne, stating she'll 'rip her out root and stem'. The most recent Game of Thrones season 8 episode was infamously plagued by a complete lack of light in some places, with viewers complaining about the blurry and hard-to-see fight scenes. Daenerys, Missandei and Varys stand in what looks to be Winterfell's library (apparently it didn't get destroyed in Arya's horror movie sequence with the wights?) in front of their battle plans.
