The Asus Zenfone 6 starts at $499 with 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM.

Asus Zenfone 6 comes in Midnight black, Twilight Silver colour variants.

There is no news of Asus Zenfone 6 coming to India as of now, but Asus has assured that it will happen, very soon. Hit the comments and let us know! Asus has come up with a completely different design perspective. The phone is sandwiched by Gorilla Glass on both ends with an aluminium chassis in the middle.

Asus had certain design goals in mind. The front panel features a bezel-less screen and there is no notch.

Taiwanese brand Asus has managed to make a lot of people sit up and take note of its smartphones. Specifically, the insane flip-up camera design that is something unique in the world of pop-up motorized cameras, punch holes, notches or even slider mechanisms. The flip module is motorized and built from amorphous alloy, which is lighter than steel and four times stronger. Thankfully though, it is customizable and any function can be mapped to the smart key. But they're not what you think. Later, the options can be changed to DND, camera or take a snapshot.

The 6.4-inch display is notch free and available in an FHD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Complementing the above is a 13 mp ultra-wide camera having a 125 degree field of view. You can still shoot selfies, though, because it flips up. So you get the same picture quality, in both situations. It's pretty convenient and provides better ergonomics while creating pictures from the Zenfone. This flipping can be done via the volume buttons and also via a software feature that pops up in apps like Instagram and Snapchat. You can also record slow-motion videos at 480fps.

Phones with motorised cameras are rapidly becoming common, but the Asus ZenFone 6's is a little more "out there" than most. This is paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage as standard, but if this isn't enough, separate variants with 128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage will be available. Additionally, the phone also comes with UFS2.1 storage with capacities of up to 256GB.

Under the hood the Snapdragon 855 chipset, making this a bona fide flagship.

A variation on the final ZenFone 6 design shows a darker color palette with an ostentatious gold trim. And the handset's 5,000-mAh battery might make the latest ZenFone the best flagship to have in your pocket if longevity on a charge your top priority. The fingerprint sensor is located on the back of the phone and Asus claims that it has an actuation time of 0.3 seconds.

The Asus ZenFone 6 ships with stock Android 9 Pie straight out of the box.

We didn't get to test the performance of the phone during our brief usage. Where the ZenFone 5Z had a 3,300-mAh power pack, the ZenFone 6 has a gargantuan 5,000-mAh unit. Asus reports that the ZenFone 6 can last easily for two days on a charge, and that the phone can deliver 21 hours of nonstop web browsing over Wi-Fi.
