Whats new in iOS 12.2

Apple introduces the Apple Card in the March Event 2019 for iPhone. Users simply sign up through the Apple Wallet app on their iPhone devices to get an Apple Card.

iOS 12.2 includes new animojis, support for new AirPods and the newly announced Apple News+ and Apple's magazine subscription service. Apple's credit card has no cash back limits. There was also an adventure title called Where Cards Fall, which the developers describe as "a personal coming-of-age story that most publishers wouldn't take a chance on", and they admit "most people typically wouldn't see it unless Apple Arcade existed".

As with all Apple product announcements (and, really, all credit cards), the important question to ask is: Is this product right for you? And that doesn't even include Apple Music (which I no longer pay for), or the $20 a month I spend in the App Store on app subscriptions and one-off app purchases (of which Apple gets a sizable cut).

Apart from Apple Card feasibly encouraging the adoption of more mobile payment alternatives such as crypto, the company could in the future add virtual currencies and tokens directly to its wallet app.

Activating or pairing the Apple Card is very similar like pairing your AirPods with iPhone ie; just bring your card closer to an unlocked iPhone and the card pops up and will activate same as like AirPods. It will also have games from Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Finji, Snowman, Giant Squid, Mistwalker Corporation, Klei Entertainment, and many more.

The unknown: Apple hasn't said how much it's going to cost. He mentioned that he expects these companies to soon start designing their own Android app that can do what the Apple Card will do. More mature and pragmatic than its older millennial forbearers, the cohort is savvy with both finances and technology, survival skills that members gained after watching siblings and parents suffer through the 2008 recession. The company says users will be rewarded based on their usage of the card.

A columnist at Forbes.com estimates that revenue from Apple Card could amount to US$1 billion next year and reach US$5 billion by 2022 after taking into account interest income and fee revenue. Making purchases with the physical credit card will earn you one percent cash back. It will be quite some time before we know which investments will fizzle and which will pay off. And while Costco does, you can only use Visa cards there; the Apple Card runs on the Mastercard payment network. We knew the focus would be some type of TV streaming service, and we knew there would be some sort of introduction to Apple's original content efforts that we've been hearing so much about. It'll make it easy to track all the shows you watch, and it'll give you a single portal through which you can access all (well, most) of that content.

Apple has unveiled its plan to boost its service offerings amid slowing growth in iPhone sales.
