Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be a third-person single-player adventure game in which players will take control of Cal who will gain new abilities as they player, allowing them to access and explore new places. A slip of the tongue from General Grievous voice actor and Skywalker Sound editor Matthew Wood, along with sources for Eurogamer, indicate that a new game is indeed in development.

The most recent LEGO game was based on The LEGO Movie 2, and was an attempt to shake up the formula by introducing open-world hubs - rather than the traditional linear levels, as used in every LEGO game since the original LEGO Star Wars. The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal (Narcos) in the title role as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter, alongside Gina Carano (Deadpool), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Carl Weathers (Predator), Omid Abtahi (American Gods), Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), and Nick Nolte (Warrior).

She would go on to state that during the hiatus they plan to map out the next decade of storytelling, "And we're taking the time to really look at where this is going from the standpoint of a saga".

Johnson helmed The Last Jedi, in 2017, and he was quickly signed to develop a new trilogy. We assume Luke is a force ghost, but one can never be sure with "Star Wars". But it was also distinctly Star Wars, and it's hard to not get excited even if fans have been burned so many times before.

It's described as the "ultimate" LEGO Star Wars game.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is out this November. I think that that's absolutely on the horizon.

He later recalled conversations he had with Star Wars creator George Lucas regarding Palpatine's fate. This brings up the possibility of the three of them collaborating closely in the writers' room and mind-mapping five to ten years worth of interconnected Star Wars stories, very similar to what Kevin Feige does over at Marvel Studios. She added, "We're making it very inclusive with the group of people that we're pulling together".
