'Star Wars 9' trailer and title expected today

It features most of the characters you'd expect, and some you don't, and conveys quite a different tone from the Celebration teaser for The Force Awakens.

Star Wars designs decorate United Airline planes debuting this fall.

There is a shot of Carrie Fisher as Leia hugging Rey.

So, if youre like me, and youre looking for a panel that moves you in some way or has a deeper meaning beyond the clash of lightsabers or the bang of blasters, this might be the panel your looking for. Today, the company revealed the full title for Episode 9, which will wrap up the Skywalker Saga more than 40 years after it first started with A New Hope. When Rey was first introduced in The Force Awakens everybody assumed she was a Skywalker, or a Solo, or even related to Obi-Wan Kenobi.

"“Sisters of the Force", to me, represents women in Star Wars.

I will not deny feeling a certain generational thrill (and chill) at seeing Lando Calrissian co-piloting the Millennium Falcon once again with Chewbacca by his side, or hearing Palpatine's mad cackle at the end of the teaser.

"Who else could be the titular Skywalker in the film's title if not the central hero of this trilogy, Rey herself?"

But who exactly will Ackie play in the upcoming Star Wars film?

He added, "It's possible that, if this is true, JJ Abrams has "retconned" Rian Johnson's plans in The Last Jedi". Could Rey be a descendant?

The highlight of the presentation, though, was the much anticipated release of the first trailer for The Rise of Skywalker. And the insane thing is, every day it hits me that she's not here, but it's so surreal because we're working with her in scenes.

And, according to The Huffington Post, the idea of her being Palpatine's daughter or family member fits "Star Wars" tropes. I guess you'll have to watch the video to find out.

What do you all make of Kathleen Kennedy's statement?

There will undoubtedly be plenty more teasers and trailers and info dumps in the weeks and months to come, but the beginning of the end of the Skywalker saga has finally begun. There also hasn't been a trailer or any footage released, so Star Wars Celebration seems as likely a place as any to release one based on what the event typically brings.

The trailer shows Rey (Daisy Ridley) standing alone in the desert, with the voice of Luke Skywalker consoling her (about what, we don't know yet).
