While the parliamentary poll is in full swing in India, PM Narendra Modi has addressed an audience at an election rally detailing why he prioritises security issues in his policies, as well as pondering on the soured ties with Pakistan.

"Abdullah family and Mufti family destroyed lives of three generations of J&K".

Starting his speech by paying a tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar on the latter's birth anniversary, Modi said that there is still a BJP wave across the country. Voting will be held for the constituency on April 18. "They can bring their entire clan into field, can abuse Modi as much as they want but they won't be able to divide this nation". "'We have to rid J&K of these two political families, ' says Modiji in 2014 and then promptly goes and makes not one but two members of the Mufti family CM of J&K", Abdullah tweeted.

Addressing a public meet in Mir Bahri Dal, Dr. Abdullah said the BJP wanted to change the very framework of the Constitution.

"Some people are so involved in anti-Modi tirade that they have forgotten the security of the country".

Modi renewed his warning to Pakistan that "his new India" is capable of "eliminating terrorists in their homes". India claims that before going down, the Indian MiG-21 had also downed an F-16 from the Pakistani air force, while Pakistan denies it.

Modi accused the National Conference and PDP of supporting separatism.

Opposition parties accuse Modi of exploiting turbulence in Kashmir to woo Hindu voters in the election. Those who can not respect Vande Matram, can not respect mother India.

The Prime Minister also hit out at Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh for skipping Saturday's event to pay respect to martyrs of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. "I now see a more powerful wave than in 2014", said Modi. But its Prime Minister Imran Khan did call on both sides to pull back from the brink in February because of the "weapons we have".

If the Congress comes to power, Moily said it will initiate probes into the functioning of the BJP government during the past five years in which the "nation was misled and kept in the dark" over several important issues like Rafale deal.
