Lego Unveils Massive New 'Star Wars' Tantive IV Set

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker dropping just a few hours ago - we now have news that The LEGO Group has broken the Guinness World Record for the largest display of LEGO Star Wars minifigures.

75244 Tantive IV recreates the Rebel cruiser's signature details including its iconic shape, elongated hull, detachable escape pods, elevating gun turrets, cargo hold and rear engines... all fitting of a consular ship on a diplomatic mission.

"With the culmination of the Star Wars Saga arriving before the end of the year, the Star Wars: Episode IX panel is one you will definitely not want to miss!" reads the description of the panel on the Celebration site.


The set will be released on May 3, in time for this year's LEGO Star Wars promotional weekend that is typically packed with deals. The radar dish also doubles as a convenient carry handle, which makes it ideal for flying around the room.

The set is over 1,750 pieces and includes multiple minifigs. "Star Wars" and Lego's collaboration also extended to five Lego "Star Wars" video games and several television and web series, not to mention some references to "Star Wars" in Lego movies.

Leia's adoptive father Bail Organa is brand new in minifigure form, and Captain Antilles has been updated from his 2009 appearance.


This highly detailed building toy construction set includes over 1,750 pieces.

"LEGO Star Wars starship measures over 5" (14cm) high, 24" (62cm) long and 7" (19cm) wide.
