Champions League: Why Coutinho changed his mind about Manchester United move

The Sunday Express is reporting that the Red Devils boss will be handed a record summer transfer budget to overhaul Manchester United's ageing squad.

"Barcelona is a hard prospect but the memory will live with the players".

According to the same story, Manchester United are looking at Borussia Dortmund's England global Jadon Sancho as a potential recruit.

Pep Guardiola's men are scheduled to face both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in their remaining games, while Liverpool do not play any of the top six.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Barcelona are one leg through to the semifinals of this season's Champions League following their slim victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer added: "Fitness wise he's available and of course, for Alexis who's been here and played here, when he's on the pitch he wants to prove a point for us as well".

Sanchez left Barcelona for the Premier League in 2014 in search of a more prominent role after being squeezed out by the arrival of Neymar at the Camp Nou and with Luis Suarez soon to complete a fearsome front three alongside Lionel Messi.

"We have one of the best goalkeepers in the world", said the Norwegian, but De Gea's future is far from certain as he holds out for a pay packet at least on par with Sanchez with his current contract set to expire in 2020.

United need to score at least once at the Camp Nou, with Solskjær insisting that "if it's a game with a lot of goals in it we have a better chance of going through".

The Catalan club shelled out £142million on the Brazilian, to make him the club's all-time most expensive player.

Chelsea are in dire need of strengthening in the summer, given the Blues are aware that we will have to go through a period without signing players.

United have scored only once at home in five European games, but they have proven to be better away from home.

Luke Shaw has travelled with his team-mates despite the full-back being suspended for the Nou Camp clash after being cautioned against the LaLiga champions last week.

"We know we will create chances and we have a goal threat, but it's about taking a deep breath and taking those chances".

Given the draw, Manchester United were the outsiders of the four English clubs to reach the semi-finals prior to the first legs.
