Wilder now holds the heavyweight WBC title and is looking for an opponent after Tyson Fury turned down the opportunity of having a rematch with the American. 'Now I think there's a strategy in place that could lead us to the undisputed fight. Wilder turned down an offer from Top Rank last month to fight this spring or early summer for $12.5 million followed by a rematch of his December 1 draw with lineal champion Tyson Fury, who recently signed with Top Rank, for at least $20 million this fall.

Wilder has repeatedly accused Joshua of ducking him by making "low-ball" offers and expressed doubts that the fight could ever be made.

Although there had been reports of Deontay Wilder's next fight against Dominic Breazeale being a potential pay-per-view fight, Wilder is not exactly 100 percent on board with the idea of it being a pay-per-view event.

"I think that he will put the deal together for Wilder to fight Joshua".

Heavyweight world titleholder Deontay Wilder, who has been vocal about his desire to make bigger money and to have bigger fights, could be on his way.

Speaking to Sky Sports Matchroom Promotions supremo has said how he will be keeping his part in negotiations to a minimum with DAZN taking the lead due to bad feeling between the Wilder camp and Matchroom/Joshua. He's already proved that he's very good at doing that.

DiBella recently arranged for Wilder and Skipper to speak over the phone about a week ago as a way for them to meet each other and get the ball rolling, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

"There's an opportunity for someone to be, of you like, a mediator to try and get it done", said Hearn.

Wilder is now being planned for a May 18 return to the ring, potentially at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Late last week Coppinger reported that DAZN had a deal done with Gennady Golovkin, better known to boxing fans as "Triple G".

Joshua will make his United States debut at Madison Square Garden on June 1, but Jarrell Miller will be his opponent after terms could not be agreed for a heavyweight unification bout with Wilder.
