Spotify Premium Now Comes With Free Hulu Streaming-For a Limited Time

Now, Spotify has cut out the middle man, announcing today through a blog post that all Spotify Premium subscriptions will now include Hulu, without any extra surcharges.

Love music and love TV shows? Subscribers who gain Hulu access through this deal will also not have access to Hulu Live TV, or premium network add-ons like HBO, Showtime, and Starz.

Spotify is giving the ad-supported version of Hulu (which usually costs $5.99-a-month) to all new and existing US Premium subscribers for free.

Spotify has teamed up with Hulu in the past. Premium users can now access Hulu series like The Handmaid's Tale and Castle Rock, along with 85,000 additional television episodes. If you're already a Spotify Premium user, visit the Your Services page and activate your free Hulu subscription.

However, as the post notes, only current subscribers and those who purchase a new subscription by June 10th, 2019 (or "while supplies last", which is a little confusing in an app context) will get the essentially free Hulu subscription.

There are some caveats.

For one, the deal is only available to new Spotify Premium users, so those who already have an account are out of luck. And the bundle is only available to customers in the U.S. The deal replaces last year's Spotify and Hulu bundle offer, which offered a discounted Hulu membership to those also paying for Spotify, and comes only weeks ahead of Apple's expected streaming video service being revealed.
