Like the sound of Call of Duty Mobile anyway?

Call of Duty: Mobile is a full-fledged COD game for your phone.

What do you get when the developers of one of the most prolific first-person shooters get together with a Chinese gaming behemoth that is swiftly overtaking the mobile gaming space? In addition, Activision also teased that Zombies and a battle royale mode (though not explicitly Blackout) will be coming to the game in the near future.

Interested players can pre-register for the game now, assuming they're in North or South America, Europe, or select other regions. Simply dubbed "Call of Duty Mobile", the new effort by Activision and Tencent Games appears to be the same as Call of Duty: Legends of War, a game that entered the alpha stage at the end of 2018.

Tencent and Activision announced a partnership to bring Call of Duty to mobile in August 2018, saying the mobile game will be free to play.

The game itself is a free-to-play, multiplayer-only version of Call of Duty, featuring the most popular maps, weapons, characters, and more from across both the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series'.

We've seen Call of Duty games on mobile before, but they've been different or vastly watered-down experiences.

Those that are interested in trying out the game on Android devices can go to the CoD website to pre-register.

"The foundation of Call of Duty: Mobile is heart-pumping head-to-head multiplayer", the Android app listing further explains.

A beta will roll out this summer, giving fans a taster ahead of its official release. There has been a few over the years, including Call of Duty: Strike Team and Call of Duty: Heroes. It would make sense to include this in the game since other big battle royale titles, including Fortnite and PUBG, are already on mobile.

Stay tuned for the latest info on this new Call of Duty mobile game.
