The new trailer for Avengers: Endgame arrived online early Thursday morning, thanks to a surprise release from Marvel Studios.

The 2.5-minute trailer not only seem to have confirmed popular fan theories about the hotly anticipated Marvel film, but it also set the tone - a mixture of nostalgia and emotional drama.

Avengers: Endgame is just one of the many high-profile films that are being released this year, a list that also includes Star Wars: Episode IX, The Lion King, Toy Story 4, and so many more. The film, which marks the culmination of more than a decade and 21 other movies of build up, is due out on April 26, 2019. Half the universe got eliminated with the snap of a finger and we've been left grasping at straws to consider how the heck our heroes are going to get out of this. They bear a resemblance to the suit worn by Scott when he goes into the Quantum Realm, which may indicate what their plan of attack is. "The world has changed", she says, "none of us can go back, all we can do is our best, and sometimes the best we can do is to start over".

The trailer incorporates scenes from previous Thor, Iron Man and most importantly Captain America movies as flashback sequences.

And here's a new poster which looks absolutely very bad! We all know otherwise, however.

The final shot shows Brie Larson reprising her role as Captain America to meet Hemsworth as Thor. At least, Stark appears to make a return to Earth to battle Thanos for the fate of the universe. Notice that she once again has the blonde hair during the Thor-Carol scene, suggesting that the switch happens only after the Avengers embark on their mission. Rocket, though not exactly the friendliest of creatures, is certainly a survivor, and formed a little bond with Bucky (now the White Wolf) in Infinity War.
