The 28-year-old K-pop singer, who is the youngest member of South Korean boyband BigBang, has been beset by one scandal after another, leading to an announcement on Monday (March 11) that he has made a decision to quit show business altogether. Regarding the issues that are being investigated, I will be investigated diligently and reveal all the suspicions.

Seungri of BIGBANG has announced his retirement from the entertainment industry.

Seungri, 29, is now under investigation for brokering prostitution for investors, and has been booked without physical detention by police.

"As this social scandal is too big, I decided on my retirement".

"I have faced heavy criticism from the public for the last month and-a-half and I'm being probed by all investigative authorities in the country", Seungri said. "I just can not accept causing pain to those around me just for my sake".

"I give my heartfelt, honest thanks to fans at home and overseas who gave their love for the past 10 years", he continued. "I am done here for the sake of YG and #BigBang". "Thank you for everything throughout the years". The investigation took off after a media report showed a group chat via a mobile messenger between the K-pop star and people who appear to be his employees, who were taking his orders to procure sexual favors.

This news is surely a disappointing blow for Seungri's career.

Seungri himself has been cleared of drug use via a recent drug test. Unfortunately for him, that all had to be scrapped once he became the prime suspect in the Burning Sun investigation. He entered the industry over 10 years ago.

Numerous greatest bands in history had to deal with controversy at one point or another.

Seungri is starting his two-year mandatory military service from March 25, according to Yonhap.

Have U been keeping up with the scandal??
