Google's Gmail and Drive suffer global outages

Thousands of reports were filed on Tuesday night, according to DownDetector.

Google has not yet addressed the issue but some users have reported that some services are being restored.

Google has issued a statement at 1:53pm saying, "We're investigating reports of an issue with Gmail".

As for now, we have to keep our eyes peeled for more updates on Gmail as they did not reveal anything about it yet.

"The affected users are able to access Gmail, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behaviour", the company had originally posted on its service website. Gmail has more than one billion active users globally. "Check your network and try again", is the message that these users said comes while sending email. Not only that, some people have reported that they are unable to download attachments which came with their emails.

Gmail and Google Drive appeared to be down for numerous users worldwide on Tuesday evening. But if there's a project or deadline assignment you need to send right away, and Gmail is your only e-mail account, you'll have a ideal excuse as to why you didn't get it on time.
