Another one is Fitbit Inspire comes with automatic activity, exercise and sleep tracking, goal celebrations, reminders to Move and timer and stopwatch apps to help users stay on track. Fitbit has cut these four products and in exchange now offers wristbands that can monitor sleep and physical activity, are submersible up to 50 m and have up to five days of battery.

The news comes at the same time as Fitbit is also planning to roll out a "major redesign" of the companion mobile app that works with its wearable devices, with the new design meant to make it easier for users to understand their health and fitness stats.

Fitbit is making a play for new customers who don't now sport one of the company's wearables on their wrists by unveiling four new, more affordable devices today.

Fitbit announces the launch of a lower-priced smartwatch, Versa Lite.

Fitbit Versa Lite Edition is priced at Rs. 15,999, comes in white, lilac, mulberry, and marina blue colours.

The Versa Lite Edition comes with more than 15 goal-based exercise modes, it has connected Global Positioning System, support for smartphone notifications, and the company is promising four days plus battery life.

Fitbit announced the launch of four new wearables on Wednesday: the Fitbit Versa Lite Edition™, Fitbit Inspire HR™, Fitbit Inspire™ and Fitbit Ace 2™, all created to be more affordable and make fitness available to all. Controls are also provided with a single button on the edge. The Inspire HR is the company's most affordable 24/7 heart rate tracking device. Both are also swim-proof design with a touchscreen display, smartphone notifications, and up to 5 days of battery life for day to night wear.

On this Wednesday, the Fitbit has said that they have full faith that growth represents "a large opportunity" to attract new customers into this market by providing wearable devices such as smartwatches and trackers at a reasonable price.

Fitbit Ace 2 is aimed at children aged six and above. Ace 2 has a new swimproof design with a bumper to protect the screen during kid-related activities all day long, and is available in fun and bold kid-friendly colors and accessories that include patterned designs. They are geared more towards people who are new to fitness tracking and are just starting out, looking for something simple and affordable. If the Versa Lite is still a little too rich for your blood, something like the Inspire or the Inspire HR might be worth considering instead.
