According to a press release, Map of the Soul: Persona will mark the "beginning of a new chapter" for the septet and if they top the charts again with this new album, it will be their third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 in just under a year.

Throughout its career, the Seoul-based group has released six albums altogether - three in Korean, their native tongue, and an additional three in Japanese.

Ahead of the start of their upcoming USA tour, BTS will be dropping Map of the Soul: Persona on Friday, April 12 and you can pre-order it starting on March 13.

"Map of the Soul: Persona" will come eight months after BTS released "Love Yourself: Answer" last August.

Shortly after the group's introduction to western audiences, BTS announced a widely successful North American tour that saw the group play three sold-out Canadian arena shows in Hamilton. They were asked to present the award for Best R&B Album, which was won by H.E.R. for the singer's self-titled debut album.

Map of the Soul: Persona is the first studio album BTS is dropping this year. RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are about to find out.

Known for their intricate storytelling through their music, it did not take a long time for fans to put their thinking hats on and guess what the much-anticipated album could be about.

The group's extended tour will kick off in Los Angeles on May 4.
