Champions League holders Real Madrid, victor of the last three seasons, are on course for the quarterfinals of the 2018/2019 Champions League after securing a 2-1 win at Ajax in the final minutes on Wednesday in Amsterdam.

Ahead of Chelsea's trip to Malmo in the last 32 of the Europa League, Sports Mole looks at how Maurizio Sarri may set out his side.

"Solari is proving to be a coach who can lead this team", Mijatovic told Radio Marca.

Madrid players trained at the Johan Cruyff Arena on Tuesday evening, with centre-back Raphael Varane a doubt for the game after missing the session due to flu. This historic Madrid side has the stamp of his character. You have to know how to read games and we did that.

When asked if the decision was correct, Courtois said: "I think so".

Real travelled to Holland full of confidence after a 3-1 win against Atletico Madrid at the weekend, their sixth victory in a seven-game unbeaten run. Let's hope that continues tomorrow. "We trust what VAR or the referees say", he said.

Ajax are in the round of 16 for the first time since the 2005-06 season.

De Jong believes Ajax showed enough to suggest they can find a way back into the game when they visit the Santiago Bernabeu, but it was a "pity" to see the goal taken away. "They have a good team and qualified for a good reason".

"It's up to us to pick ourselves up", said the Ajax boss.

Benzema put Real in front when he netted on the hour-mark, but Ajax got the goal their play deserved with 15 minutes remaining as Ziyech side-footed home after a sweeping move. We have to focus on our football and enjoy it.

"It is an option to start with him and Dusan Tadic in attack, but Kasper Dolberg and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar are also great strikers who give us options", the coach said. We're physically fit and with the right team spirit, we can go a long way.

Predrag Mijatovic is convinced that Santiago Solari is the right man to lead Real Madrid to more glory.

Nearly four months on, Vinicius has 22 appearances for the first team, the latest pair against Barcelona at the Nou Camp and Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano.
