Tetris 99 is available to download for free now.

The February 13 Nintendo Direct presentation revealed an array of new exciting titles. If there's one thing I don't really like about Tetris is when there's multiplayer added to it. Judging by the game's teaser video, almost everything players will remember about the experience - including several series staples first made popular through 1991 SNES release Link to the Past - will be present in the latest release. Another classic game that got introduced was Tetris 99 - but with a twist as the Battle Royale craze has no limits it seems and has set its sights on the pureness of the retro hit.

If you need some visualization to help you decide if this is for you or not, you can take a look at the unboxing video below. Thanks to games such as 1998's The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and 2006's The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the Zelda series has reportedly sold more than 80 million games worldwide. Clearing lines on your screen will result in "garbage" being sent to someone else's.

Nintendo announced the Daemon X Machina Nintendo Switch action game for release this summer during its Nintendo Direct presentation on Wednesday. Nintendo says there will be "upcoming online events" to participate in but didn't offer any specific details regarding what those will entail. The only difference is that instead of two people battling it out, there are 99.
