Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and their Young Money crew have pulled out of 2019 BET Experience at L.A.

Nicki Minaj announced she and Lil Wayne will no longer be featured artists at the BET Experience and will not attend the network's award show after the station unfavorably compared the rapper to Cardi B in a tweet Monday. "And further does not reflect our company values", the network said. We deeply apologize for the hurt, disappointment and confusion that this post has caused. We are also conducting an internal audit to assure these types of posts are not published again.

The network added it took unspecified "additional appropriate action" once the tweet was brought to the attention of executives and said, "We understand Nicki's position and look forward to continuing our dialogue with her".

The official BET Twitter account posted this tweet following Cardi B's historic win at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, but has since deleted it amid backlash.

She also noted she wasn't a fan of those who "put other people down to uplift somebody else". Since Nicki seems to be the only one repping Young Money these days, her threat may not hold much weight on the way this year's awards weekend will play out.

What do you think about Nicki's decision and BET's apology? "This should have never happened".

A rep for Minaj didn't immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
