Mr Markle revealed the letter to the Daily Mail on Sunday.

Meghan Markle's father released a letter he received from the Duchess of Sussex a few months after the royal wedding, confirming the accounts of a number of Markle's close friends, who told People magazine Prince Harry's wife had indeed attempted to contact her estranged father after he failed to show up at her wedding previous year. Please stop lying, please stop creating so much pain, please stop exploiting my relationship with my husband.

Meghan Markle wrote a five-page letter to her father after her wedding.

In the handwritten note, Meghan is said to have accused Thomas Markle of "unwarranted pain" and "making the choice to not tell the truth". Since then, he has spoken critically of Meghan to several tabloids. Something I will never understand.

She's also publishing that tell all book, In The Shadows Of The Duchess I and II (originally titled, The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister), in two parts.

Thomas Markle may have just sabotaged any remaining possibility of a relationship with his estranged daughter, Meghan Markle.

However, once the wedding was over, a rumoured rift emerged between father and daughter over his absence at the wedding and also his eagerness to talk to the media about his daughter.

Mr Markle was referring to the fact that information about the letter was revealed to the world because of an anonymous interview that five of Meghan's friends gave to People last week. Please allow us to live our lives in peace. "On a daily basis you fixated and clicked on the lies they were writing about me, especially those manufactured by your other daughter, who I barely know" Meghan added.

"When I opened the letter I was hoping it was the olive branch I'd longed for", he said. "What riles me is Meghan's sense of superiority", he said in an interview with the Daily Mail published in August.

Tessy Antony, the estranged wife of Prince Louis of Luxembourg, took to Twitter on Sunday night to say that the duchess "did not deserve" her treatment by members of her estranged family who have repeatedly hit out at her in the press. However, he denied Meghan Markle's claims that he hadn't tried to reach her and showed the publication texts to prove that he has tried to contact Meghan Markle and his son-in-law. I'm telling you I don't want to communicate through the media, and you're asking me to communicate through the media.
