The Raptors are now second in the East at 41-16.

D'Angelo Russell scored 28 points and had a career-high 15 assists for Brooklyn.

Hopefully someone helps Gasol out before the next home game. Gasol, who spent his first 10 1/2 seasons of his National Basketball Association career with the Memphis Grizzlies before being traded to Toronto last week, learned that lesson before the Raptors played the Nets.

After Brooklyn pulled to within two, Toronto again opened a seven-point lead on Gasol's 20-footer with 6:49 left.

Dating even further back than that, in 2012 during his "Linsanity" run he recorded a double-double of 27 points and 11 assists before burying a game-winning 3-pointer to beat the Raptors.

Leonard knotted the game at 122 and Russell and Toronto's Danny Green traded 3-pointers to tie the game at 125.

The Nets put up 60 first-half points on the strength of Harris' early shooting to take a four-point halftime lead. Kawhi Leonard dribbled the clock down inside 10 seconds before he made his move, finding his favorite spot on the right elbow for a smooth bank shot to give Toronto a two-point lead. There were nine ties in the third quarter alone before the Nets and Raptors headed into the fourth tied at 92.

The veteran point guard's arrival in Toronto would boost the Raptors, who will be without guard Fred VanVleet for at least three weeks because of a partially torn ligament in his left thumb.
