Suga then sheepishly responded with, "Go to the Grammys".

BTS's May 2018 album "Love Yourself: Tear" was nominated for the 2019 Grammy Awards in the Best Recording Package category, which is given to an album's art director as recognition of the visual look of the album.

South Korean boyband BTS will reportedly present an award at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards on February 10, marking the septet's debut appearance at music's biggest night. This is the first time staff of a Korean album has been nominated for a Grammy Award.

It is unknown which award BTS will present, but the band's name started trending worldwide on Twitter shortly after the news broke.

In less than five days V, Suga, J-Hope, Jungkook, RM, Jin, Jimin, could be hitting the red carpet for their first Grammy night.

However, fans would never see BTS perform on stage. They became the first Korean act to score a No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Love Yourself: Tier previous year.

Love Yourself: Tear is up against four other albums: Mitski's Be the Cowboy, St Vincent's Masseducation, The Chairman's The Offering and Foxhole's Well Kept Thing.

That means their achievement came in eligibility for the 2018 ceremony - putting them out of the running for the 2019 awards. Sources told Variety that Maroon 5, who is nominated for best pop duo/group performance for "Girls Like You", with Cardi B, may not attend Grammys 2019.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar leads the way in nominations with eight, followed by Drake with seven and producer Boi-1Da on six. Rapper Cardi B, pop diva Lady Gaga and folk-rock singer Brandi Carlile have nabbed key nominations.

The Grammys will be aired on Sunday, February 10, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
