Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe scored in the second half as PSG outclassed United 2-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Patrice Evra has posted a message to PSG fans on social media following a backlash against his video that called for Manchester United to "give everything" in their Champions League clash with the Ligue 1 winners.

Despite the signings of the likes of Mbappe and Neymar for mega money in recent times, PSG are yet to advance to the semi-finals of the Champions League, exiting at the quarter-final stage in four of the last six seasons. We work every day for it.

The France worldwide scored the Ligue 1 giants' second goal after Presnel Kimpembe's opener and Mbappe felt that Thomas Tuchel's men did their talking on the Old Trafford pitch.

Twenty years after winning the Champions League as a United player, this was Solskjaer's first taste of the competition in management having only previously coached Molde in his native Norway and Cardiff before being hired by United.

"I thought Manchester United were affected by the substitutions at half-time, I thought Martial and Lingard going off was a problem but Manchester United have no excuses".

United were in the midst of an 11-game unbeaten streak since December but the Red Devils crashed to their first defeat under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"There's a three-week period now, anything can happen before the second leg and make no mistake, Manchester United will have learned a lot from today".

"I am not scared of any comeback, because if you are scare you can't reach any goal", Alves said.

Defence is the area where I think United need to improve the most, especially at centre-back which is where they still look vulnerable. "We are a good team". So that's maybe why Pogba, as we have seen recently, has performed well'.

The footage shows that - presumably involuntarily - one steward has found himself in the middle of the PSG supporters' section and is being lifted up and down in time with their singing.

"It was a flawless pass for Kylian", PSG coach Thomas Tuchel said.

"I'm not the one", Solskjaer said when asked what he could do to help Sanchez. But in terms of morale, we were at the top. We had loads of crosses second half but the movement wasn't there. Do not think that the match is won.
