As you may have heard, Greggs is now selling vegan sausage rolls.

It is now available in 950 selected stores in the United Kingdom starting today and only costs £1.

That's right, you can now pick up a succulent, meat-free sausage encased in 96 layers of pastry to tantalise your taste buds without a crumb of ethical guilt from your local Greggs for just £1.

The vegan roll is on sale from today (January 3).

350 stores are now selling the vegan sausage roll, so you won't be far from a store should you want to try one.

He added: "The people of Dundee love their baked goods and being vegan does nothing to change that. I waited for mine and by the time it was cooked, there was a queue of us who took them and more people waited!"

He said: "The festival is growing every year and to have a popular bakery like Greggs stock a vegan sausage roll would help to make veganism more mainstream".

"Here's a picture of our new vegan Pizza".

A Greggs spokesperson said that there was a possibility of rolling out the product further, depending on how popular it proved.
