It features a 32:9 aspect ratio across a 5120x1440 display space with an 1800R curvature.

Samsung gave a glimpse of its three new monitors that it will be showing off next week at Consumer Electrics Show (CES) 2019.

Supporting an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, Samsung said users can play challenging high-quality games without any delay.

One model being shown for release this year is being called the "Space Monitor", and it's basically a monitor on an arm that clamps to a desk like a vice, removing the need for a special stand that takes up space on the desk itself. "When using the stand, Space Monitor can be easily tilted or extended from the wall". It offers a 2500:1 contrast ratio and full 3840x2160 resolution, and, based on Samsung's boast of one billion colors, it sounds like this is a 10-bit display.

The Space Monitor comes in two size variants... a 27-inch model with QHD resolution and a 32-inch model that's 4K UHD. A large arm connects the grip to the screen, allowing you to push the monitor back and forth, giving you the comfort of having a wall-mounted screen at times, and a screen that's up-close at other times. The CRG9 may not be the best for content creation but should provide a superior gaming experience with its QHD resolution and 1,000 nits of brightness on top of its Quantum dot technology for some of the best color reproduction in the industry.

Finally, Samsung's new UR59C 32-inch 4K slim, curved display goes for classy with rounded edges and a fabric back.

There's no word on price or launch date, but the last-generation Samsung 49-inch widescreen monitor was $999. "The 1500R curvature delivers a truly immersive experience that shines while creating content and art, watching videos or gaming while reducing the eye strain typically associated with long periods of traditional monitor use", the company notes. DisplayHDR 1000 is the top-end HDR spec from VESA, FreeSync 2 HDR is the latest FreeSync standard from AMD (though we still don't know for certain if existing FreeSync displays will be compatible with Intel's Adaptive Sync implementation, they should be).

Both monitors will be on display at CES in Las Vegas next week.

The display is available in dark blue-grey, and features a super-slim design, with a depth of only 6.7mm.

The Samsung Space monitor could be pre-ordered now through Best Buy, Amazon and Models will be available in 27-inches with a QHD resolution or 32-inches with 4K UHD resolution.
