But now she's under fire for failing to provide people who worked for her proper legal protection.

NY is fining freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's campaign for failing to provide its employees with worker's compensation.

"The employer did not have the required workers' compensation coverage from March 31, 2018, to April 30, 2018, and was issued a final penalty of $1,500, which was paid", said Melissa Stewart, the spokeswoman for New York's Workers Compensation Board.

Last week, a conservative activist released an old video of Ocasio-Cortez dancing in college, apparently in an homage to the '80s classic The Breakfast Club, in an effort to humiliate the newly-sworn-in Congresswoman.

"This is basic stuff, especially if you hold yourself out to be the champion of workers", the campaign operative said.

'The so-called champion of workers, when given her own responsibility, is not following the law...' "It's unbelievable", Proud said.

Ocasio-Cortez was denied a seat on the influential Ways and Means committee this week despite a public pressure campaign launched by progressive advocacy groups.

The New York democratic socialist would be a thorn in the side of Wall Street, which has seen its regulatory burden lowered since Donald Trump became president, Politico reported.

"I think we have a decisive mandate from this electorate, this 116th Congressional class to be bold". I cannot even get laptops to my caseworkers in the Bronx and Queens so they can process the needs of our constituents.

Ocasio-Cortez was the subject of a January 6 "60 Minutes" segment on the bartender turned congresswoman who wants to challenge the way Washington works.

She floated the idea during an interview on the CBS show "60 Minutes", which will be shown on Sunday.

AOC knows that - hell, she represents that - and judging by Joe's inane comments to somebody as far right wing as Cavuto... we think Joe may have an idea that his time has always been up, too.
