Hudson-Odoi has only made one substitute appearance in the Premier League this season but has starred in cup competitions for the Blues.

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has lashed out at Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich after publicly declaring interest in starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi.

He said: "I spoke with the club and the club knows very well my opinion".

Hudson-Odoi has been the subject of several offers from Bayern this winter, but Chelsea want to keep their star. 'I don't know why someone would go to Bayern Munich'. "Now he needs to improve in some movements without the ball, but he is working very well at the moment so I am very happy with the player and would like to have him in the future". In the last match we played very well, with continuity and with a very good offensive and defensive phase, and with a great performance from a physical point of view - the best of the season - but we didn't score. "So they didn't respect our club, I think", Sarri told reporters on Friday.

The Blues now occupy the fourth spot on the Premier League table and they need to win this match in order to maintain that gap with Arsenal who sit fifth on the table. "It's normal", Sarri said.

'I see in him a really good player who would certainly be a good face to join us'.

He's a player Sarri knows well having worked with him at Napoli and the club are known to be on the lookout for a new striker to replace Alvaro Morata who appears to be reaching the end of his time with Sarri.

Maurizio Sarri has revealed his belief that Chelsea need to sign two players this January, but stopped short of confirming which positions he would be looking to strengthen.

Willian was on Thursday linked with Barcelona, but Sarri ruled out the prospect of the Brazilian departing this month.
