But Alonso is keen to see the 18-year-old remain at Stamford Bridge and flourish as a Chelsea player.

Hudson-Odoi started Chelsea's 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, in a move from Maurizio Sarri that was created to persuade the winger to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Hudson-Odoi has played seven times this season and has 18 months left on his contract.

But Bayern, who trail league leaders Borussia Dortmund by six points, are still chasing their man and Salihamidzic sees Hudson-Odoi as an ideal player for the club.

But the fact Sarri has included the teenager in just one Premier League squad all season suggests there may be an easier route to first-team football elsewhere.

"We really want to sign him", said Bayern's director of sport Hasan Salihamidzic.

The Chelsea FC youngster made two assists in their 2-0 win over Championship side Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round at Stamford Bridge last weekend to underline his impressive talent.

Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger has admitted speaking to the winger about life in Germany. "It was just a general question from him to know, because he is still young".

"Of course he asked me about Germany", Rudiger told reporters after the Blues lost the first leg of their League Cup semi-final 1-0 against Tottenham on Tuesday. "I can advise him, but at the end of the day he decides about his future". We'll see about the rest, ' he said. Of course, he can develop in Germany as well and don't forget Bayern Munich is also a big club. For his future, I wish him all the best.

The Spaniard said of an exciting club colleague: "He is a good player, but he is very young". I think for him everything is going very well at the moment.
