Until then, enjoy this lovely poster for "Captain Marvel"!

Captain Marvel is here, and she's frickin' huge! You'd think a company with it roots in an art-based medium would be able to employ better poster artists, but I guess that's too much to ask for. Captain Marvel is expected to explore her mysterious origins, but won't be a traditional origin story movie. I do like how colorful this poster is, and I also like how prominent Brie Larson is - she fills nearly the entire frame. Is it something you'd like to see?

This coming week, the studio plans to unveil new trailers for Captain Marvel and Avengers 4, and ahead of the preview for the former, we've got a gorgeous poster that features Carol Danvers front and center.

In addition to this spectacular new poster, Marvel Studios announced that the new trailer for Captain Marvel will debut at halftime during the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles game on ESPN's Monday Night Football on December 3. In it, every major Marvel superhero and supervillain get abducted by an omnipotent known as the Beyonder who places them on a planet called Battleworld where they are forced to fight to decide which side is truly more powerful. An all-star collective of accomplished writers penned the screenplay, including Meg LeFauve (Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur), Nicole Perlman (First Man, Guardians of the Galaxy), Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Tomb Raider, upcoming Sherlock Holmes 3), Liz Flahive & Carly Mensch (Glow) and Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck. Will the internet survive?

CAPTAIN MARVEL soars into theaters March 8th, 2019. The striking and colourful poster shows a scintillating Brie Larson with waves of power running across her arms and hair. But before long, Carol finds herself back on Earth with new questions about her past.

Marvel Studios' "Captain Marvel" is produced by Kevin Feige and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. And she's got a formidable enemy in the form of the Skrulls - the notorious Marvel baddies made all the more risky by their shape-shifting abilities.
