The big secret Wilder kept quiet before Fury fight

After Fury won an August tune-up fight, he accepted the deal to fight Wilder.

Replying to a news story on Twitter that said Wilder was "very interested" in making Joshua his next fight, the WBA-WBO-IBF heavyweight champion criticized the American before saying he would fight either man in the future.

"I was sparring, just getting ready and I was getting the best of my sparring partner", Wilder explained.

Deontay Wilder doesn't know how Tyson Fury got up from the 12th round knockdown. I'm looking forward to giving him the rematch as soon as possible.

"I said to Deontay -Deontay's got the texts - I said, 'I'm sorry what's happened to you, ' and I said, 'But you offer me the fight, and I will not turn it down".

Fury had appeared out cold, but he returned to his feet and recovered enough to survive to the final bell. "I was like that", Fury said.

After years of lying basically dormant, boxing's heavyweight division now has Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua to choose from. The fight ended in a draw.

"I seen this guy's eyes roll slowly in the back of his head".

Fury, who only returned to boxing this year after almost three years out of the ring as he struggled with depression, drink and drug problems, had said Monday he doubted Wilder would grant him a return.

"God alone knows how Tyson got up from that last round knockdown and maybe the count was slow but I'm not going to complain". Wilder expects it to be more of the same for a rematch.

"Both sides definitely, seriously want it to happen [again]", Wilder said. We are here to put entertaining fights on while we are in the era and active.

Wilder said being more than 50 pounds lighter than Fury at the time of the fight and the after-effects of surgery on his right arm also contributed to his sub-par performance. I don't want no one else but Tyson Fury.

The American will be fighting to retain the only world belt not held by Joshua, who holds three of four.

That scuppers Joshua's plans of holding a unification fight at Wembley Stadium in April, though Wilder hopes they will eventually meet in the ring. "They got him winning, they got me winning and some got it a draw".
