Notre Dame is in the College Football Playoff for the first time in its brief five-year history, while the Tigers will play in their fourth straight after winning the ACC championship the last four years.

It's the first time in the five years of the CFP that the field of four contains three unbeaten teams - Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame. "A great young quarterback", Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly told ESPN.

In the Orange Bowl, there is a matchup between two storied franchises. "Now there's four teams left". Committee members and people who have a say in these matters, let's do it. Let's make college football even greater than it is. "It's incredible what they've done with the schedule that they've played", Swinney said.

The victor of this game will move on to face the victor of Alabama-Oklahoma.

"It's gonna be one of the best games of the season".

"I can't wait to watch Notre Dame play". Save for the never-before-seen-or-ever-seen-since 2007 season, a second loss always canceled out the "Who would win?" conversation because a second loss took that team out of the conversation. Mike Elko, defensive coordinator at Texas A&M, held the same position at Wake Forest for three seasons. We can tell you the model is leaning under for both games, but it has also locked in strong against-the-spread picks that are hitting in more than 60 percent of simulations.

Over the season, Lawrence threw for 24 touchdowns with just four interceptions, while Book threw for 19 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. The Fighting Irish are 5-2 in Cotton Bowl games. While the Sooner offense has rolled along all season at a historic clip, the defense has sputtered and stalled.

"The CFP committee does its best and I appreciate their commitment to college football", Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany told the AP in a text message.

Miami is headed to the Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 27 to face Wisconsin, the Florida Gatorsdrew Michigan in the Peach Bowl on Dec. 29, Florida International is matched with Toledo in the Bahamas Bowl on Dec. 21, and South Florida will face Marshall in the Gasparilla Bowl on Dec. 20.

The Cotton Bowl will be played in Dallas on December 29th at 4 p.m.
