The recent glut of Marvel content across all mediums means that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 has more familiar faces than ever before.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3- Black Order

One of the big rumours before The Game Awards started is that this was when Square Enix would finally reveal their long in-development Avengers game, especially as the Russo brothers, directors of Avengers: Infinity War, were known to be in attendance.

Gaming giant Nintendo and entertainment behemoth Marvel on Thursday announced a partnership to unveil an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch portable gaming console.

The reveal was quite a shocker though as the Ultimate Alliance franchise has laid dormant now for years, when it was originally published by Activision. Also worth noting is that the developer behind the project is that of Team Ninja. Get closer to the action by shifting the view to an over-the-shoulder "Heroic Camera" perspective-a series first that offers a more immersive way to play single-player or multiplayer on up to four systems. The game will feature an original story and a playable cast of dozens of Marvel Super Heroes, including the Avengers, the X-Men, and-for the first time in series history-the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Play online*, offline via local wireless, or simply pass a Joy-Con controller to a friend, so they can join your team. The last game released nearly 10 years ago.
