Michelle Obama and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex met in London during a stop on the former United States first lady's book tour for her new memoir Becoming, according to reports in the Evening Standard and Harper's Bazaar.

The Duchess of Sussex tonight read a poem at a carol service close to her husband's heart, held each year in memory of his late friend.

The couple were walking through the grounds when they noticed "snow" on the ground, when suddenly they were jolted by a blower dispensing fake snow as they made their arrival to the event.

William then steps in laughing and clarifies that yes, they do see certain topics differently but according to Harry, these are "healthy" disagreements.

Meghan showed off her baby bump in a navy blue dress, while the Duke of Sussex wore the same color coat and trousers.

Meghan first wore the Mackage coat in Nottingham.

And I'm crediting Royal Meghan for making it happen.

Following the speech, Meghan and Michelle had a private "power meeting". "Thanks to HRH Duchess of Sussex for joining us!"

Her tweet was shared alongside a photo of Meghan, sitting at the head of a table and looking engaged as another attendee spoke.

Discussions focused on the role of universities in addressing human trafficking and modern slavery, gender equality and inclusion, peace and reconciliation, and climate change and resilience.

"Today we brought together university leaders, academics & #students to discuss how we can build a better world through #highered".

In that speech, the Northwestern University alum announced two new grants for women for the University of the South Pacific and Fiji National University, perhaps a sign of the collaboration to come.

She described the education of women and girls in developing countries as "vital", and called higher education's impact "incredible, impactful and pivotal".
