And President Bush was a bipartisan president.

To honor the legacy of late president George H.W. Bush, the United States Postal Service will suspend regular mail delivery on Wednesday, December 5. "He had an enormous capacity to give of himself". The sweet exchange caught on camera of grieving former US President and former first lady at the funeral services is now going viral.

"After Mrs. Bush's death, general companionship was a big part of Sully's job", John Miller, president and CEO of America's VetDogs, said in a phone interview. There will be limited package deliver to avoid backlogs during the holiday gifting season.

The images come just days after Sully's Instagram account shared a photo of the visibly sad pup in front of Bush's casket. Blair House is also known as the President's Guest House.

The Trumps visited Mr Bush's coffin on Monday evening. Sitting next to the Clintons was fellow Democrat Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn.

Those close to the service dog say for now Sully appears lonely, loyal to the USA leader for whom he had unwavering allegiance.

Members of the public who never voted for the man waited in the same long lines as the rest, attesting that Bush possessed the dignity and grace that deserved to be remembered by their presence on a cold overcast day in the capital.

Among the foreign dignitaries inside the cathedral were Britain's Prince Charles, Jordan's King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Polish President Andrzej Duda and former presidents of Estonia, Mexico and Portugal, as well as former prime ministers of Britain, Canada, Japan and Kuwait.

The 95-year-old Republican arrived at the US Capitol in his wheelchair followed by an aide, but rose to his feet once beside the 41 President of the United States. On Tuesday, Sully - who's named after pilot Sully Sullenberger - sat alongside Bush's casket as it lay in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda.

Though the pair were only together for a short time - Sully was given to Bush in June after the passing of his wife, Barbara - it's evident from the dog's emotive state in the photo that they had developed a strong bond over their six months together.
