Samsung's Galaxy S9, S9+ and Note 9 struggled to revive demand in 2018, and its revamped midtier and entry-tier smartphones continued to face huge competition from top Chinese brands who grew market share in key markets, such as India, and their expansion into regions beyond Asia/Pacific continues to take away opportunities from Samsung. The highlights of the new Huawei phone is its Triple Rear Camera setup, latest and greatest processor and its premium look.

Otherwise referred to as a punch-hole design, the camera cutout sits in the upper-left corner of the phone.

The Huawei Nova 4 is expected to arrive in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, just like its predecessor, while it will probably sport two cameras on the back, it may even include the same sensors as the Huawei Nova 3, 16 and 24-megapixel cameras. The teaser reveals that the Nova 4 will likely have an nearly all screen display with a single hole for the selfie or front camera in the top left corner. It has a 6.39-inch curved display and 4,200 mAh battery. The post also revealed that it will be the Nova 4 that will be unveiled on December 17th in China.

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei launched its flagship smartphone Mate 20 Pro, in India on November 27. At least one of the versions will support 5G.

It remains to be seen when Samsung will release a phone of their own with this display type but this may spur them onto announcing it sooner.

Anyway, the USA government won't stop me from getting hyped for Nova 4, the same device we saw in a livestream from late November. Now the hole on the screen, Hole is expected to have the selfie Camera module in it.
